Our weekends have been so busy lately, we haven't had time to take on any house projects. We planned to stain our deck today... but, of course, it's raining! Stay tuned for that and for our dining room furniture, which should be delivered in the next few weeks.
We knew our house is old, but we discovered that it is officially listed by the Hopkinton Historical Commission and Massachusetts Historical Commission as one of the many historical structures in town. There is a picture of the house taken in 1989 (i think). Click here and here to see.
We had our first "family picnic" on Saturday. Unfortunately, it rained all morning and most of the day was spent inside, but it was still fun and we were so happy to have most of our family visit. Here are a few of the pics...
Good thing I set up the tent. Burgers The sun came out eventually. Packed in the family room... ...and the kitchen.
We started decorating our first floor bathroom - towel rack, toilet paper holder, shower curtain, hand towels, rugs, and blinds. Amanda picked out the towels/shower curtain/rugs color scheme! If you click on the pictures, you can see them better.
Mom and Dad came up a couple weekends ago to help with some things around the house. Dad and I put in the mailbox, hung a birdhouse. Mom and Amanda did lots of weeding and gardening! Here are a few pictures.
